Last but not least

While it is highly unlikely that I will ever create a podcast I think that the technology is wonderful. The possibilities for sharing and learning are incredible. I can imagine this being used in the space effort, surely in medicine. As a teaching tool. Fantastic. I am not enamored with one more avenue for finding music, entertainment, movies, "stars", etc.

The UTube is ok if you have nothing else to do. I looked up Ron Paul being interviewed by Jay Leno simply because I know nothing about him. It was interesting but not something I could live without. I have been exposed to utube for a while now and, frankly, am not particularly impressed.

So, overall, I have achieved my goal of learning of new and different opportuinities on the internet. I have completed all assignments and I think the most enlightening thing I have gotten out of this is the knowledge of the unending windows that can be opened. Open one thing and then that leads you on tomany many more that you knew nothing about and might be interested in exploring.

This whole exercise for me was excrutiating. I didn't like one single exercise. But liking wasn't the objective; learning was. I am still confused about all the different accounts, passwords, going from one thing to another. It would be wonderful if there was a print out of the 12 quests so that one could continue to explore and iron out the kinks.

Well, it wouldn't publish

People this is not easy. If the instructions say to hit publish and then post to blog one would expect that a drop down menu would appear that says post to blog. Well., not on my machine. So what do we learn? Not too much on this quest 11 that is of great importance to me. I do know that many people think this is fun. But not me.

This is my cat. Her name is Streak and she lives up to her name. It has taken me an inordinate time to complete this quest. But thanks to Melissa and a lot of determination on my part, it is completed.

On we go

I thought the wiki very interesting, however, it is not something I would use with any regularity or at all. Seems for general informantion there are many other sources. For specific might be good. I may be a wacky but not a wiki.

well, I have finished #8 and I am learning things which is why I started this adventure (sic). PD

Learning some more

Well, I've gotten past quest 6 and it wasn't too bad and, actually, I did learn something. Best part was that I didn't have to ask for help. Incredible. I think delicious is interesting. Charging on.

I am most grateful for Mellissa, Gretchen and Jennifer who have been most helpful in helping me try to figure out these quest things. I am a real novice when it comes to the computer and so these exercises are very, very difficult. The tech trek exercise assumes one has a real background in computers and, unfortunately, when you don't then it can be an unbearable experience. Just getting to do the blog was horrendous. But it is done. Quest 5 wasn't bad. We'll see what happens next.
